I enjoy running, hiking, and working out. I have my private pilot's license. I also enjoy going out on the water during the summers here in Florida.

I have been in the IT industry for a year and held a Systems Support Tech role. 

I find it interesting that I am in this class but do not have any form of social media. I deleted all social media around 2 years ago and have never looked back as I myself see it as a big waste of time. I do have a linkedIn for potential job searching or easy application but I do not use it. 

This is my first time creating a blog and I find it similar to journaling in the aspect of talking to a figurative third party in some cases.

I do not read too many blogs other than some recipes I have found to like and they are on cooking blogs. 

I see the use of blogs for those who may be writing for entertainment or may want to look back at their blogs.

    Hi Tate,
    I'm happy to have you in class this spring. Being a pilot must be exciting! I'm afraid you're going to be using some social media this semester. But it doesn't have to be a permanent reentry into the world of social media. I also wanted to point out that for this class, there is on figurative 3rd party, your classmates and I are your audience.

Third Learning Journal

 This chapter spoke to me mainly in the business aspect of how social media can be helpful. Social Media can be an excellent way to advertise and market in today's society as it is the easiest way to reach more people. This is good for advertising and now with the marketing and data analytics many social media sites have; it makes it much easier to provide valuable statistics on bettering your marketing campaigns. you can get an average age, sex, location, and more on your results and this can show what demographic your products or services reach the most. This has convinced me to utilize social media more in creating advertising campaigns for my business "Suncoast Yacht Management" in which I use Facebook and Instagram for marketing and information. Assignment 3

Social Media of choice: Facebook      I will start off first by saying that I started this class with no social media whatsoever. However, I have recently installed Facebook and Instagram for business and marketing purposes and this has been perfect timing for this assignment. I chose Facebook which is the social media I use the most for my business because it has a new feature called the "Meta Business Suite" which allows me to post simultaneously on Facebook and Instagram, all in one place. This also allows me to see demographics like what platform reaches what people and how many followers I have on both and which has seen the most audience improvement.
